This event will run from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th October, staying for 3 nights at Portmeirion near Porthmadog in Snowdonia, North Wales. This is a good base to make the most of the great driving roads in North Wales. The scenery is lovely and Portmeirion is an attraction in its own right, a unique village of Italianate architecture in a lovely setting on the estuary with views of mountains.

There will be tours on the two principal days to see more of and learn about the area, plus some free time.

We have reserved all the accommodation at Portmeirion for the long weekend. Some of it is in the Portmeirion Hotel, most is in the varied and very characterful cottages in the village. Meals will be in the hotel restaurant which is known for the quality of its food. All the cottages are a short walk from the hotel and a shuttle minibus is available. Parking will be by the accommodation.

We’ll have more capacity than is usually available on these events and subject to a modest supplemental charge there will be a limited number of places for single participants.
