Got my 4200 in March with only one key which is an obvious risk. However, trying to find anyone to provide an additional key is problematic. Maserati UK advise the original keys are no longer being produced. Calling around various automotive locksmiths has not provided any great solutions; can get remote key but not linked to the alarm. Does anyone know who I can go to? Preferably, someone with a successful track record. Not precious about an original key, a work around would be fine.
Hi Peter, I have a similar problem with my 4200 – only one working key linked to the alarm. However, I have a second original key which only opens the boot.
Have you been able to solve the issue since you posted in November?
The immobiliser transponder can usually still be cloned or programmed.
The complex part is getting:
the remote locking to work correctly, and
integration with the factory alarm/Meta system.
