Hi I am looking for an insurance company to renew my car insurance. Any recommendations please? I have had my car for 1 year and paid extra last year as I had not driven a high performance car before. My current company is quoting me £1200+!

    Would appreciate your advise please

    Many thanks

    Hello Heidi,

    I use https://www.bell.co.uk

Its a multi car policy with limited mileage & maximum no claims. I have four cars and pay £1200 per annum.

I had a specialist before but they became too expensive, then tried the comparison sites before Bell. This year the premiums came down a little.

It may be better to try for a Classic Car Insurance but you do need a regular “day” car as the Classic Insurance would be for a limited amount of miles. I am not sure how old a car has to be for Classic status. There are companies advertised in Trident that may help and well worth a try.

Have you just tried the internet comparison websites? e.c. GoCompare. In October 21 i got quotes from £480-700 for my GT on them when the club policy and other main insurers etc were up in the £1200-1400. I do have a good NCB though which maybe your particular issue- although if you have transferred from another car I have never been asked why i drove before. Good Luck!

Thanks for your help on this matter everyone! I went with Adrian Flux as advertised in Trident. They were £600 cheaper then the other options i.e. comparison websites etc.

    Many thanks

    Heidi 🙂
