Reply To: Water ingress into boot

This suggests to me, as you drive water is getting picked up somewhere. Have you checked your light clusters. Another option, remove as much as possible in the boot, disconnect the battery & ask someone to lightly spray the area outside around the petrol cap cover, rear light cluster and inner wheel arch with a hose and see if any water is coming inside.

My wife’s Ford had water in the spare wheel well for no apparent reason, after inspection there was a tiny rubber bung missing inside the boot above the real wheel arch. When I jet washed the inner arch water came in from there went along a ridge before ending up in the well it took me ages to trace this. Often water finds its own path.
