Graypaul Maserati Club Concours D'Elegance 2008

Once again the luscious green grounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire were the setting for the 2008 Graypaul Maserati Club Concours. This year's event, sponsored by leading Maserati Concessionaire Graypaul - Nottingham, was organised by club stalwarts Bill Jackson and Prag Mistry. Amongst the celebrated judges were Laura Overall from Maserati GB, racing driver Roberto Giordanelli and motoring journalist Richard Heseltine.

In spite of the foul wet weather in the days leading up to the occasion, a cloudy but dry day greeted around 110 Maserati owners to this popular event. Whether competing in the concours or just there to enjoy the show, the proud Maserati owners certainly put on a fine display with cars ranging from a 1960 3500GT to the latest 2008 GranTurismo.

Winner of the 'Pre-1970s Class' was Andy Lerry’s elegant but sporty Sebring 2a serie. The '1970s Class' went to club President Alexander Fyshe’s stunningly beautiful Ghibli SS.

Rod Siebert’s sparkling Biturbo Spyder in Rosso Maserati won in the 'Biturbo Class', and the winner in the 'Modern Class' was David Relf's GranTurismo.

Overall winner, and winner of the '1990's Class' was Adam Golder’s truly immaculate example of a 3200 GT 'Assetto Corsa'.
