Maserati Cars 1957 - 1970
by Brooklands Books
This is the first of our three Maserati books. In the year that Maserati won the Formula 1 World Championship they began to focus on low-volume production of high-performance road cars. All the early cars had the 3.5-litre six engine, uprated to 3.7 in 1964. Later there were 4, 4.2, 4.7 and 4.9-litre engines. Many of the cars had bodies built by Italy’s finest coachbuilders.
This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, designs analysed, driving impressions and history. Models covered include: GT3500, Coupe, 5000GT, 2500 GTI Vignale Spyder, 3500 GT Vignale Convertible, 3500 GTI Sebring, Quattroporte, Mistral, Ghibli, Mexico, Indy, Ghibli Spyder.
136 pages, 300 illus. Including 16 pages of colour. Soft Bound |

Maserati Cars 1971 - 1982
by Brooklands Books
The second in our trio of books this covers the turbulent 1970s. The Citroen company influenced the Maserati models and a new engine was developed for the Citroen SM. However, by 1975 the plan was to put Maserati into liquidation. Fortunately rescue came in the shape of de Tomaso who put the company back on its feet. The 1970s models built on the success of the Indy in the late 1960s. The Bora, Kyalami and later Quattroporte were V8-powered. The V6 was put to good use in the Merak and the Bora had the distinction of being the company’s first road-going, mid-engined car.
This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, driving impressions, and touring. Models covered include: Ghibli, Bora, Indy 4.2, Indy 4.7, Ghibli SS, Merak, Khamsin, Merak SS, Kyalami, Quattroporte.
136 pages, 300 illus. Including 18 pages of colour. Softback. |

Maserati Cars 1982 - 1998
by Brooklands Books
The final part in our trilogy covers the period when Maserati secured its future by strategic liaisons first with Chrysler in the USA and then with Fiat in Italy. In 1982 the Biturbo was introduced, a car aptlydescribed s a “mass market Maserati”. Maserati promised production of the car for the next ten years, and in fact it lasted well beyond that, being adapted to make a four-door, car, a Spyder and the V8-powered Shamal.
This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, technical and specification data, new model introductions, driving impressions and buying guide. Models covered include: Biturbo 2-litre, Coupe, Biturbo E, 425, Spyder, 228, 430, Karif, Royale, 245, 222E, Spyder E, Shamal, Ghibli, Quattroporte, Quattroporte V8, Ghibli Cup, V8 Evo.
136 pages, 300 illus including 17 pages of colour. Softback. |

Maserati Cars The Ultimate Portfolio 1999 - 2007
by Brooklands Books
"Maserati is one of those deliciously Italian names that rolls phonetically off the tongue with a slight roll of the 'r' sound and a short 'i' at the end. Said properly it sounds beautiful, just like the famous cars to which it is attached. After some years in the doldrums Maserati is back with a vengeance. The resurgence began with the 3200 GT coupe back in 1998 and, slowly but surely, there has been a re-emergence of one of the motoring world's most iconic makes that has a fabulous history. Few marques have put the word Grand into Grand Touring the way that Maserati has. A total of 200 pages all in full colour. Included are road & comparison tests, new model intros & buying guide. Models covered: 3200 GT, Assetto Corsa, 4200 GT, Trofeo, GranSport, Quattroporte, Sport GT, MC12 & GranTurismo. A total of 200 pages all in full colour. Softback."
