Production years - 1954 to 1957.
Total production - 60 cars.
Coachwork by - Frua, Zagato or Allemano.
Engine - 6 cylinders in line, twin overhead camshafts.
Displacement - 1985 cc.
Power output - 150bhp @ 6000 rpm.
Fuel system - Naturally aspirated 3 x 40DO43 Weber carburettors.
Brakes - Hydraulic drums all round.
Suspension - Front: Independent, coil springs. Rear: Live axle, leaf springs.
Shock absorbers - Houdaille lever arm units.
Gearbox - 4 speed with synchromesh + reverse.
Bodywork - Sheet aluminium over steel frame in Berlinetta or Spyder form.
Dry weight - 840 kgs.
Performance - 195/210 kph.

Marketed by Maserati as the 2000 Gran Turismo, this Tipo is better known as the A6G54 and considered to be the most beautiful and desirable classic Maserati. The car on display is a 1956 coupe with coachwork by Allemano.

     1953 A6GCM / 1954 Interim 250F

This A6GCM was a 1953 works car and raced during the 1953 Formula 2 season. It was converted by the factory in 1954 by having a 2.5 litre “250F” engine fitted for use by Prince Bira of Siam, while he was waiting for his new 250F to be delivered.

12 A6GCMs were built from 1951 to 1953 and 6 were converted by the factory in 1954, and became known as the Interim 250Fs.

6 cylinders in line - twin overhead camshafts - dry sump - 1959cc.
Twin ignition with two Marelli distributors.
Naturally aspirated with 3 x Weber 38DCO3 or 40DCO3 carburettors.
Gearbox - 4 speed with synchromesh on 3rd & 4th.
Power output - 197 bhp @ 8000 rpm.
Performance - 250 to 280 kph.
Dry weight - 570 kgs.
Front suspension - Independent with coil springs.
Rear suspension - Live axle with leaf springs.
Front and Rear brakes - Hydraulic drums.
