"Dear Members,
Photos from Silverstone, Maserati GranTurismo at the F1 Tyre Testing day on Wednesday, and the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, the previous weekend at the Aston Martin Owners Club Meeting, it is the first I have seen in the Flesh (Metal?) & was great, but not that big, probably
around the Spyder size of the 4200GT.
Regards,
Peter." |

"Dear Members,
Here are some of the photos taken at the VSCC "Spring Start" Meeting at Silverstone last Saturday. I spotted a fellow member there and said hello, he was doing the same as I, hunting out the Maseratis.
Sadly, during one race, a Maserati 250F hit Alex Boswell's Ferrari 625 on the right rear, which had spun right in front of him trying to avoid a Cooper T45, thus virtually destroying his whole front on the 250F, a terrible sight. Luckily, none of the drivers were hurt!
Finally, two photos of Barrie Baxter's TEC MEC (Technica Mechanica) 250F at Silverstone last Saturday, his capacity was listed as 2500 exactly, and the year as 1959.
Regards,
Peter." |
