       Maseratis at Silverstone Classic 2009

   "Hi Henry,

Here are some photos of Maseratis at the Silverstone Classic 2009. It was a great three days and the weather stayed dry most of the time contrary to forecasts!

The 250 SI (#26) driven by Marc Devis came second in the RAC Woodcote Trophy Pre 1956 Sports Car race, and gained fastest lap, with a 300S driven by Tony Smith in eighth place (car #48). The OSCA MT4 (#40) driven by Pickering and Hickson came in at 34th.

In the BRDC Historic Race for Historic Sports Cars Alan Minshaw’s Tipo 61 (#61) came second, and the 250S (#38) of Laidlaw and Hadfield was fifth.

David Bennet’s A6GCM came in at 34th in the HGPCA Pre-66 Grand Prix Cars Race.

Gordon McCulloch’s 200S wasn’t racing; but we were very fortunate to be able to ogle it for three days on the Club stand!

Best regards,

Roger."

   "Hi Henry,

First batch of Photos from our Maserati Club Display at the Classic Meeting this past Weekend:

Alan Minshaw's Tipo 61 driven by his Son Jason, outside our Marquee Display Area.

Photos of the blue/yellow Maserati A6GCM of David Bennett, the 2,493cc engined car.

Photos of Tony Smith's Maserati 300S.

Finally, photos of a very interesting sculpture of the Maserati 250F driven by Juan Manuel Fangio at the German Grand Prix in 1957, thought it may interest you and the Members of the Club.

Peter."
