    Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival 2010



Dear Friends,

The 2010 Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival will take place on Saturday April 24th.

The featured marques will be Alfa Romeo, in honour of its 100th anniversary and Aprilia, who have achieved over 40 World Championships in their relatively short history.

Please volunteer to marshal if you can get there early enough. Entry fees will be refunded to marshals who will also receive a souvenir of the festival Best regards,

This year we have to levy a charge of £5 per car for each accepted entry. However, any surplus remaining after the Festival will be donated to the Help For Heroes charity.

    100 Years of Alfa Romeo 2010

100 Years of Alfa Romeo 2010 / 100 Alfa's to North Wales & The Evo Triangle - Alfa Owner.com

On Sunday 16th May 2010 we will be holding a special road trip to North Wales with the finale on the Evo Triangle on the Denbigh Moors to celebrate 100 years in 2010 of Alfa Romeo.

The idea is to have at least / thereabout '100' Alfa's & other Italian Marques to hopefully include Abarth, Fiat, Lancia and maybe the odd more exotic to join us on the day as an overall celebration Italian cars. As of general interest to Maserati Club we would like to invite any of your members who would like to come along to join us on the day.

We have also posted on the Abarth forum as a test bed with reference to other Italian Marques to joining us on the day. Some of whom have expressed an interest in doing so when we floated the idea in late 2009. Fiat Coupe's and Lancia Delta Inters/Evo's will also be coming along. Also in addition Auto Italia have been contacted and Mr Phil Ward (Editor) has emailed me back to let me know he will run a small piece in the News section within the Magazine on the lead upto the day.

    The Emblems Spring Charity Event
    in aid of the Fovant Badges Society



Emblem Sports Cars of Poole, the Emblems Restaurant at Fovant and Gurston Down Hillclimb have agreed to jointly support a fantastic day out for owners of all Maserati cars.

The event will start at the Emblems Restaurant, on the A30 close to Fovant, where a three course lunch with an Italian menu will be served in the restaurant which has panoramic views of the Fovant Badges carved on the hillside. During lunch, a short talk on the history and the significance of these national monuments to all those who remember the sacrifices made by British and Commonwealth armed forces over the years, will be given.

We will then drive the short distance to the Spring British Hillclimb Championship meeting at Gurston Down where especially reserved parking has been arranged. Following the last timed event, we will then form up in the paddock for a Maserati only run up the hill which will be a programme event. Please note that inclusive tickets for this unique charity event are of necessity limited.

The price is £45 per head ¹ .

ALL funds raised will be donated to the Fovant Badges Society, a registered charity, for the continued upkeep of the badges. A raffle will also be held on the day in order to raise money for 'Help the Heroes'. The organisers of the event will not be charging any expenses.

Approximate event timings are:

• From 11.00 - Assemble at the Emblems Restaurant Car Park
•          11.45 - Emblems Lounge for socialising and pre-lunch drinks
•          12.15 - Lunch and Fovant Badges Talk
•          13.45 - Drive around to Gurston Down Hillclimb
•          14.00 - Spring National Hillclimb events
•          15.45 - (Timing subject to change) assemble in the paddock for run up the hill
•          17.00 - End of event

    Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010

The Earl of March, patron of the UK’s most celebrated motor sport meetings – the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival – is delighted to announce today the provisional 2010 dates for these hugely popular annual events.

The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed is provisionally scheduled to take place over the weekend of 2-4 July, subject to final confirmation of the rest of the motor sport calendar. It will be the 18th running of the world’s largest celebration of motoring culture and promises to be packed with action and excitement as the planet’s most glamorous racing machinery and famous drivers gather together in the beautiful surroundings of Goodwood Park. The 2010 theme for this leading motor sport event is currently being finalised and will be announced in the coming weeks.

    Goodwood Revival 2010

For 2010 the unique Goodwood Revival is provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 17-19 September. The Revival is truly a magical step back in time and celebrates the halcyon days of motor racing as it used to be with all of the accompanying spectacle and glamour of the era. Competitors and spectators alike dress in period fashions with the finest sights and entertainment of the pre-1966 era for all to enjoy.
