In 2003 for the Maserati Spyder Vintage, Maserati proposed a custom Vintage package designed specifically for their Spyder. The link with one of Maserati's most famous models is evident in the choice of exclusive items, starting with the chrome air vents incorporated into the front wings, inspired in design by those on the 1957 3500 GT.
Significant also new blue dials in the instrument cluster, a throw-back to the Maserati competition cars of the fifties.
Done in response to the specific request of the North American market, the Vintage package further enriches the offer content personalization program Officine Alfieri Maserati, which allows each customer to further their own exclusive car.
The Vintage package had many levels of personalization. The exterior treatment included a chromed radiator grille, a grille trident embellished with red insets, air vents incorporated into the front wings, chrome door handles, chrome door mirrors, "ball polished" treated alloy wheels that as well as improving their mechanical properties, gave the surface a brilliant finish, silver brake callipers and a chrome roll-bar.
